Our Implementation Process
The OMNIMax platform can be highly configured to each company’s advice process. Our implementation process for customised solutions follows these steps from development of a general concept to a functional solution. We follow industry best practices around analysis, design, development, testing, training and deployment.
Step 1: Initiation
This first step is a discussion and confirmation of your objectives for your desired solution. We also gather company brand elements for the visual design such as logo, fonts, colours and images.
Step 2: Analytics & Design
Step two defines your targeted users that will access the solution, the types of information that will be presented, how the information will be accessed and in what form it will be obtained.
Step 3: Information Structure
At step three we focus on creating a framework around the flow of data required. We also look to understand the technical and functional requirements of the solution.
Step 4: Visual Design
The visual designer collates your company brand elements and the information structure or framework, to create the overall look and feel of the solution.
Step 5: Concept Execution
Next OMNIMax designs, builds, and then tests the new solution using the functionality of the framework as well as custom developed code – to meet your functional and technical requirements.
Step 6: Data Migration
OMNIMax will discuss the needs for migrating data from existing sources and web sites. The data will then be migrated into the new solution.
Step 7: Training
The development process requires a transfer of knowledge to end users during and after development. We’ll work with you to confirm development objectives are on track during development, and provide training for your staff.
Step 8: Testing & Deployment
The solution will first be deployed to a test environment for you to test and we can fix any bugs. After this testing process the solution will be released to a live production environment for your use.
Step 9: Production
Your solution is made live. OMNIMax will assign a dedicated project manager to your project. They are your primary go-to and will have overall responsibility for the satisfactory completion of your solution.
Step 10: Project Monitoring
We provide a complimentary 30-day monitoring period after deployment to iron out any technical issues. Thereafter we offer optional maintenance and ongoing support services on an hourly or contract basis.
Risk Mitigation
All projects have risk. The key to the success of a project is making sure the team is aware of the potential risks and proactively manages the project to ensure the risks are anticipated and minimised before they become problems.
Integration Challenges
OMNIMax recognises that integrating a solution with other external systems can cause mismatches in data formats and structures. To minimise this risk we work with your team to set-up and test a working solution of data connectors into the solution before the solution goes into live production. This will help resolve any issues during development, before production.
Quick Decisions
Assembling input from a range of stakeholders and gaining agreement is often time consuming. OMNIMax reduces this risk by asking that you, as the client, provides a list of “key decision makers” for different parts of the solution. These “key decision makers” are individuals who would have the ability to make decisions when a group of stakeholders cannot reach an agreement or are not available.
Project Expansion
This is a common risk that can happen once stakeholders observe the features and functionality available in the framework and seek to increase their concept of what the site should provide. OMNIMax moderate this risk by jointly agreeing to the scope of the project at the start of development efforts and managing the scope through our modify control method.
Critical Resources
We predict situations where your key resources are unavailable due to time commitments. OMNIMax moderate this risk by having the ability to meet virtually through online conferencing, thus minimising the need for meeting in a physical room. We will provide schedules in advance so that project team members are well informed of their required time commitments and guarantee the project is kept on schedule.
